Jared Drake Bell, a former star of Nickelodeon series “Drake & Josh,” was charged with attempted endangering of children and disseminating material harmful to juveniles, which stemmed from an alleged incident in Cleveland, Ohio last 2017.
The actor pleaded not guilty to both charges last June 3 and posted a $2500 bond before getting released from Cuyahoga County Jail.
Tyler Sinclair, a public information officer in Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office, said that the charges stemmed from a 15-year-old female juvenile victim who attended one of Bell’s concerts last 2017.
The victim filed a report in her local police department last October 2018, claiming that the alleged incident with Bell occurred at a Cleveland nightclub in 2017.
“That investigation revealed that the 15-year-old victim, who had established a relationship with Bell several years prior, attended his concert in December 2017,” Sinclair said.
Cleveland Police also found that Bell, 31 years old at the time of the alleged incident, sent the minor “inappropriate social media messages” for “months leading up to the concert.”
Meanwhile, Bell’s charges sparked comments from social media users, which are mostly negative in nature.

Last year, Drake Bell’s ex-girlfriend, Melissa Lingafelt, had also accused the actor of being verbally and physically abusive during their relationship. Bell denied the claims at that time.
