Amid the cheating controversy involving Can’t Buy Me Love stars Anthony Jennings and Maris Racal, social media users satirically call on other celebrities to share their own “receipts.”
Various tweets from X (formerly known as Twitter) users went viral for “ungkatan ng past [digging up the past]” of celebrity breakups.

“Kathryn.. kung may screenshots ka din dyan… baka eto na ang tamang oras.. Char! [“Kathryn… if you have screenshots too, now might be the right time.]” one social media user tweeted, pertaining to Kathryn Bernardo.
Another social media user said, “One day if Kathryn decided to [expose] her cheater ex and the involved parties, tapos na career ng mga yun, backer ba naman nya buong Pilipinas. I wish she is messy but classy talaga si ate girl. She chose peace of mind over chaos but that unfollowing spree speaks volume tho.”
It can be recalled that Bernardo and now ex-boyfriend Daniel Padilla had a controversial breakup last year, which tagged names of other celebrities for the alleged third-party involvement.
Some social media users also called for ‘It’s Showtime’ host Karyll to break her silence on parting ways with her ex-partner, Dingdong Dantes.
“I think it’s time for Karylle to speak her truth. Ganyang ganyan din sina Marian Rivera at Dingdong Dantes dati. Sumikat lang sa Marimar iniwan na agad si Karylle at Ervic Vijandre. Kung may screenshots ka pa diyan Karylle, ilabas mo na trewww,” an X user said.
Some X users, however, had comedic replies to the tweet, with one saying, “Di pa uso screenshot dati mhie. nokia 3310 era treww.”
Dantes and Karylle dated for three years from 2005 until they called it quits in 2008.
Rumors have it that Dantes cheated on the noontime show host, which resulted in their breakup
Karylle is now married to Spongecola vocalist Yael Yuzon, while Dingdong Dantes is married to actress Marian Rivera.
Social media users also tweeted for Angel Locsin to speak up about her breakup with Luis Manzano.
“Since nag ungkatan na nga ng past.. Never forget how they cheated on Angel Locsin while suffering health condition. She could have dropped bombs to ruin the careers of these 2. But nope, she stayed silent to protect her ex & the mistress. She ain’t called an ANGEL for nothing.🤍,” one social media user said.
Angel Locsin is now married to her long-time partner, Niel Arce, while Luis Manzano is married to actress Jessie Mendiola.
While these tweets are gaining traction, some X users shared their disagreement over the matter.
One social media user said, “This Maris – Anthony issue makes you admire the maturity of girls like Kathryn and Karylle noh? They could have dropped bombs to ruin the careers of Daniel, Dingdong and the mistresses. But nope, they stayed silent to protect their exes. I could never do that.”
An X user, however, replied that this tweet sounds backhanded as it portrays Jenning’s ex-girlfriend, Jam Villanueva’s, reaction unwarranted.
Another social media user said, Hindi ko nagugustuhan itong tono ng mga praises kay Kathryn and Karylle na dahil hindi nagsalita kasi class act, unbothered, hindi patolera, etc. I dont disagree pero ang distasteful? Ang sinasabi niyo is Jam should have remained silent? Kasi balahura kapag magsalita?”
Some social media users agreed with this take on the matter by saying that this invalidates the feelings of Villanueva and that people have different coping mechanisms.
