The recently concluded 65th Grammy Awards had been a roller coaster ride for music artists and fans, due to the many unexpected (and surprising) wins and losses in different categories. Chris Brown was one of the artists who got surprised with the result of the awards category he was nominated in. And what do you know–he threw a digital tantrum after learning of the news.
The R&B ‘king’ had been nominated for the “Best R&B Album” category in the Grammy Awards, against Mary J. Blige for Good Morning Gorgeous (Deluxe), Robert Glasper for Black Radio III, Lucky Daye for Candydrip, and PJ Morton for Watch the Sun.
Chris Brown threw a fit on social media after the award had been handed over to Robert Glasper and his album Black Radio III.
Robert Glasper, by the way, is an American pianist, record producer, songwriter, and musical arranger. He has 5 Grammy awards under his belt and has been nominated 11 times in 8 different categories–which means this award wasn’t implausible for him (for comparison, Chris Brown has had 20 nominations and 1 win).
Of course, Twitter had a field day clowning the “With You” singer over his “meltdown.”

Robert Glasper might could help Chris Brown finally make a song that doesn’t sound like 2013. https://t.co/qbwvB13rzD

Chris Brown said the same thing we were all saying tonight but since HE said it…..social media is reporting that he's throwing a "rage fit" and being a "sore loser"
Okay. Cuz that tracks….
So anyway, like we were asking since 4pm EST, who the fuck is Robert Glasper?

The funniest thing about Chris Brown’s Grammy meltdown is also the saddest: Robert Glasper is an icon and this is an award voted on by your peers. You can dislike the outcome but posting about not knowing who he is only embarrasses you as an artist.

Instead of Chris Brown being nasty in his IG stories towards Robert Glasper he needs to be trying to set up a studio session with him, but I digress!

Chris Brown trying to be shady towards Robert Glasper isn't funny at all. Robert been one of the most talented musicians in Hip Hop for over a decade now. Black Radio 3 is an AMAZING album. Put some respect on his name.

Perhaps Chris Brown can try again at next year’s Grammy Awards? But for now, congratulations to Robert Glasper and to all of the deserving winners of the Grammys!
