BTS member Jungkook has been missing in action for quite some time, and ARMYs have longed for his presence since then.
Last spotted during Jin’s departure to serve the military, Jungkook did not post on any of his SNS accounts until February 2. On Thursday midnight, he finally put an end to ARMYs misery as he went live on Weverse, a social media platform designed for fans of BTS and other k-pop bands.
During his four-hour live, the popular South Korean singer revealed why he was not posting updates. Jungkook poured a few rounds of drinks and revealed to ARMYs that he is not yet working on his solo music and that he likes the idea of taking a short break.
“I have put an all stop on preparing my album and I think it’s become like a habit. I haven’t been doing anything, and I like this, not doing anything,” he shared to his fans.
The ‘Golden Maknae’ of K-pop’s biggest band to date added that if he were to be reborn, he wanted to be a ‘rock.’ “I feel like right now I am like a rock,” he continued.
Aside from clarifying rumors about his social media hiatus, the K-pop superstar also talked about his tattoos. He started with the ARMY ink on his knuckles which he revealed as the first tattoo he got. He then shared the story about an ‘eye tattoo’ he covered up.
“I had an eye here, but a lot of people didn’t like the eye and said it looked like the illuminati,” he said to his supporters.
Before ending the live session, Jungkook sang songs for his fans including “Dreamers,” BTS’ “For Youth,” RM’s “Wild Flower,” and Jimin’s “Vibe.”
Jeon Jung-kook, popularly known as Jungkook, is a South Korean singer and main vocalist of the successful boy band BTS. In 2022, the 25-year-old singer achieved another milestone as a solo artist when he bagged the ‘People’s Choice Awards’, making him the first K-pop artist in history to receive such recognition.
Take your time, Jungkook. We’ll wait for you!
