All LOONA members move to officially terminate contracts with their agency

It’s official: all LOONA members are leaving BlockBerry Creative.

Yup, all 11 remaining members have moved to terminate their contracts with their agency. (LOONA is still 12, regardless of what BBC says)

On February 3, 2023, JTBC News reported that members HyunJin and ViVi have officially filed to nullify their exclusive contracts with BlockBerry Creative. This comes 3 weeks after the win of 4 members (HeeJin, Kim Lip, JinSoul, and Choerry) and the loss of 5 (HaSeul, YeonJin, Yves, Gowon, and Olivia Hye) in the Seoul Northern District Court Civil Division 1 last January.

JTBC News had also stated that members HyunJin and ViVi are most likely to win their lawsuits, as their contracts are similar to the contracts held by the four that won their legal dispute. The reason why the five other members of LOONA are still bound by their contracts to BBC is because of another contract that had been offered to them back in 2021.

Orbits are now hoping that the remaining 7 members will be able to successfully nullify their contracts with BlockBerry Creative. Orbits also praise HyunJin for not leaving ViVi behind—especially since ViVi is the only foreign member in the lineup and had to take time in treading through legal processes such as visa adjustment.

LOONA will win this. Let’s all do our best to support the girls and their fight, whether we’re Orbits or not.
