Orbits react to BlockBerry Creative’s move to sue Chuu and four more LOONA members

Orbits have just reached a whole new level of anger this year. The reason? Still BlockBerry Creative.

On February 1, 2023, the Korea Entertainment Management Association confirmed that BlockBerry Creative had submitted a petition asking the South Korean court to suspend former LOONA member Chuu’s activities in the entertainment industry. The agency confirmed this and added that they had submitted the petition last December 2021—a month after her expulsion from the group.

Their agency’s petition included that Chuu had allegedly “tampered” with her exclusive contract with them in an attempt to switch agencies. BlockBerry Creative also claimed that the former LOONA member had already been in contact with another agency (BY4M Studio) in 2021. It can be remembered that the agency announced that Chuu has been officially dismissed from LOONA last November 2022.

In response to the petition laid by BlockBerry Creative, the Reward and Punishment Committee of the Korea Entertainment Management Association had requested Chuu’s attendance to the hearing. Her legal representative later on confirmed that the artist will be present during the inquest.

BlockBerry Creative have also mentioned their intent to submit petitions against HeeJin, Choerry, JinSoul, and Kim Lip, following their win against the agency and the termination of their exclusive contracts.

Orbits were clearly not happy with the malicious intent shown by LOONA’s agency and rallied on social media to air out their anger and frustrations. The fandom also started a petition to help the remaining LOONA members in their contract termination lawsuit.

It’s quite despicable to see these turn of events, tbh. If you’re not supporting Chuu, HeeJin, Choerry, JinSoul, Kim Lip, Haseul, Vivi, Hyunjin, HaSeul, Yeonjin, Yves, Gowon, and Olivia Hye after all the sh** that’s been happening thanks to BlockBerry Creative, what are you doing?
