NCT’s Jaehyun currently has almost every NCTzen in a chokehold after unveiling his first ever solo song titled “Forever Only”, for SM Entertainment’s ongoing “SM STATION: NCT LAB” project on August 18, 2022, at 6 P.M. KST. The song was released on all streaming platforms as well as its music video at the same time.
“Forever Only” is currently the fourth song in SM STATION’s project “NCT LAB”, following “Child” by Mark, “Conextion (Age of Light)” by NCT U (Doyoung, Mark, Haechan), and “Rain Day” by NCT U (Taeil, Kun, Yangyang).
With lyrics personally written by Jaehyun himself, “Forever Only” is described by Soompi as an “R&B song that expresses the feeling of wanting a special someone to stay by their side even as everything begins to leave and disappear.” Jaehyun perfectly captures the “boyfriend vibe” of the track, serenading fans even in the music video.
And of course, NCTzens couldn’t help but fall for Jaehyun’s charms, baring it all on social media even before the song came out.
