WATCH: Paramore releases video directed by Zac Farro for “Fake Happy”

Fueled By Ramen recording group Paramore has unveiled a video for their current single, “Fake Happy,” which is currently working its way up the Modern Rock radio charts, off their new album “AFTER LAUGHTER.” The video is directed by the band’s own Zac Farro.

“The Fake Happy video was a very special video for me. This is the first time I’ve directed a music video on film. It was shot on 35mm. Also the first time working with my talented friend and DP, Josh Goleman. Everyone involved was amazing. I’m super stoked for people to see this music video. I feel it’s subtle and charming and suits the song perfectly,” said Zac.

Paramore’s first new album in more than four years, “AFTER LAUGHTER”, is available now at all retailers and streaming services. The album also includes acclaimed singles “Hard Times” and “Told You So.” The official “Hard Times” companion video has now earned more than 53 million individual views at YouTube alone. In addition, the colorful “Told You So” companion video – also directed by Zac Farro – has drawn over 18 million views via Fueled By Ramen’s official YouTube channel.

Long regarded as one of modern rock’s most electrifying live bands, Paramore recently wrapped up their sold out North American “TOUR TWO.” “A 2017 Paramore concert impresses simply by stacking the hits on top of each other until the lights come up,” enthused SPIN, while Billboard raved, “(Hayley) Williams fulfilled her frontwoman duties to the fullest, with hair-flip headbanging and can-can kicks galore, but perhaps most necessary… plenty of heartfelt and poignantly uplifting statements to keep spirits high.” Perhaps Brooklyn Vegan summed it up best, “The current seven-piece band version of Paramore is razor sharp, and they handled all the ‘80’s-inspired nuances of those songs as masterfully as they do on the album.” Additional live dates will be revealed soon – for complete details and ticket information, please visit paramore.net.

Meanwhile, Paramore is finalizing the schedule for third installment of their hugely popular PARAHOY! vacation experience, an interactive four-day festival at sea presented in partnership with Sixthman Productions and Norwegian Cruise Lines. The cruise – a full charter aboard the spectacular Norwegian Jade – will feature a specially selected schedule of bands, activities, meet-and-greets, and truly unique Paramore live performances. PARAHOY! sails roundtrip from Miami, Florida to Nassau, Bahamas from April 6th through 10th, 2018. For complete information, please visit www.parahoy.com.
