Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco reveal tracklist for their first album as a couple, ‘I Said I Love You First’

From friends to musical collaborators to now being each other’s fiancé, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco shared more on their new project and upcoming album “I Said I Love You First” coming out this March on the 21st, just over a month after its announcement.

While it isn’t their first time making music together, this marks their first collaboration as an official couple. They’ve worked in the past for Gomez’s solo albums, namely, Stars Dance (2010), Revival (2015), and Rare (2020).

Just as fans marked their calendars down to await the release, the singer, actress, and entrepreneur surprised them, yet again, after she published an Instagram post dropping the album’s 14-song tracklist, with her caption “Leaking some more details…”

Gomez couldn’t hide her delight as she wrote, “benny and I are so excited to reveal the official tracklist for our album.”

The project’s purpose is to “celebrate the pair’s love story, giving fans a unique window into their relationship.” Coming from the same source, the album naturally came together resulting from the comfort they both felt while working together creatively, which ultimately motivated them to produce art that authentically reflects their experiences. It basically covers their history before knowing each other, falling in love, and going into the future together.

With all that’s set out for the star, The Stan Society together with Gomez’s fan club president gear in with full support as they organize a release event to be held from dates between March 21 to May 2 in select venues in the U.S.. They invite fans to come over and dress up in outfits inspired by Selena’s iconic eras to sing the night away with the full track’s release and celebrate 15 years of her music.

Although the event organizers clarified that Selena would not be in attendance, the fandom’s idol still posted the event on her Instagram story to promote the get-together.

The first track, “Scared of Loving You,” had already been released earlier this February at the same time of the album’s announcement. Gomez, Blanco, and singer-songwriter FINNEAS composed the single with lyrics that express the assertion of the pair’s affection for each other, setting the tone for what’s to come in the following tracks of the record.
