Chappell Roan teases upcoming single ‘The Giver,’ marking the start of her new musical era

After taking over the 2025 Grammys with her spell-binding ‘Pink Pony Club’ performance, Chappell Roan surprised fans with her new slicked back style for an upcoming single ‘The Giver.’

The teaser photo featured Roan in a corporate attire, highly suggestive of the visual theme for her ‘The Lawyer Edition’ vinyls. She first debuted the “country-spiked” song ‘The Giver’ during a performance for Saturday Night Live back in November.

Known not only for bop hits but also hard hitting lyrics, fans should gear up for the upcoming musical release of Roan. In an Instagram post, she captioned, “ur ex’s worst nightmare + she gets the job DONE.”

The new single was a long time coming after the release of her first studio album, ‘The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess.’ The singer teased the release of the single with a dial-in stunt, fans were treated to a short snippet of the song with the number (629) 468-8646 (aka “Hot To Go”). Once on the line, in the typical comedic ways of Roans, callers were offered to “reach a dentist, attorney, plumber or construction services.

The singer’s faux legal services were also plastered on billboards to openly promote ‘The Giver.’

The ingenious advertising stunts seemed to be working as shortly after Roan announced that pre-order of aqua marine colored vinyl disks for the new single, it got quickly sold out on her website. The vinyls are expected to arrive sometime around August 18 of this year.

The upcoming series of releases, including ‘The Giver,’ is projected to spotlight a “new version of Chappell,” according to her producer Dan Nigro. With heightened anticipation for her second album, NIgro disclosed that fans should expect “a couple of ballads” and a “mid-tempo rock song.”

Surely, Roan has a lot more in store for future music releases after witnessing a skyrocket in her career last 2024 which garnered her Grammys’ ‘Best New Artist’ award.
