Get those glitter tear-inspired makeups ready, as the third season of Euphoria has begun production.
After almost three years since the show’s sequel premiered, HBO CEO Casey Bloys delivered promising news that the teen drama had begun filming way back in January, “We are shooting the season. I have read the scripts. We’re happy. We’re moving ahead,” he announced.
The production had experienced several delays since the season renewal was announced back in February 2022. At the moment, ‘Euphoria’ season 3 is estimated to premiere by 2026 with eight episodes.
A contributing factor to pushing back the season release was perhaps the busy schedule of its main casts and actors who had gained massive followings over the years and had starred in various films. “All of the actors are in the show,” is the good news Bloys divulged in a press event.
The fans’ beloved ensemble of casts are also set to reprise their roles among them are Zendaya, Jacon Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, Alexa, Dermie, Barbie Ferreira, among others.
In a Facebook post by Max and HBO, they surprised viewers with a recent sneak peek photo of Rue Bennett played by Zendaya with the caption “Euphoria Season 3 is in production.”
In a 2022 interview, Zendaya shared what she hoped to see for the third season, “A little bit of happiness and a little bit of joy. “ This came after the pivotal ending of the show’s previous season which painfully portrayed the helplessness of Rue’s drug abuse.
Much like Zendaya, fans are invested as to how the show will narrate the story from here on and if they could potentially bring a ray of hope for each of the characters.
‘Euphoria’ had been a cult favorite show way back in 2019 when it first premiered. The show was an adaptation of an Israeli miniseries of the same name which followed a group of high school students who had a spiraling journey toward trauma, drug addiction, and toxic relationships.
