The upcoming ‘Pokémon’ stop-motion anime series, “Pokémon Concierge,” is slated to be released in December 2023.
The new teaser posted by a streaming platform shows young Pokémon concierge Haru working at the front desk of the Pokémon resort with a Psyduck and a Lampent floating over their heads, before teasing the release date at the end of the year.

The show is set at the tropical island-like Pokémon Resort and will follow the story of Haru growing into her role as a concierge on the resort, with the help of the Pokémon guests who will come to visit.
The series is an original story that will be directed by Iku Ogawa, who has directed a number of stop-motion short films and will feature the voice of Rena “Non” Nounen as the voice of Haru.
It will also be a collaboration developed by Netflix, The Pokémon Company, and ‘dwarf studios’ as its animation production company, who have also worked on several animations including Disney+’ “Monster at Work,” and Netflix’s “Miraculous: Ladybug & Cat Noir.”
The streaming service also shared a behind-the-scenes video with Non and director Iku Ogawa giving a tour of ‘dwarf studios.’

“We’re excited to marry an entirely new storyline that expands the Pokémon universe with groundbreaking stop-motion animation. To bring this new world to life, we’ve partnered with the amazing creative team at Dwarf Studio,” Netflix’s Vice President of Content (APAC Ex-India) Min-young Kim shared during the ‘Pokémon Presents’ last February.
She added, “We have a group of experts here in Japan who are passionate about finding and developing original stories from Japan that can excite audiences all over the world. We’re dedicated to adapting fan-favorite stories and manga into extraordinary shows,”
Pokémon Concierge is among the new Pokémon series after The Pokémon Company announced that the next Pokémon anime series will not feature the journey of Ash Ketchum and Pikachu who has been the face of the series for 25 years.
