The Patrons of the Arts team looks forward to building a future where artists receive the respect they deserve and also achieve the financial stability that is too often disassociated with being an artist.
Patrons of the Arts focuses on building a community of respect and understanding between art creators and consumers. One of the event’s purposes is to create and nurture a supportive environment for the arts community by bringing together artists and attendees to inspire collaboration, inspiration, and mutual growth.
What to do at Patrons of the Arts QC 2023
Seeing so many different types and styles of artwork expands the mind and touches the heart. Take your time to take in the pieces of the artists’ soul given physical form. Relearn the meaning of the phrase a picture is worth a thousand words as you peruse through the halls full of art and life.
Aside from buying high-quality art pieces, there are several things you can do at the event. Artists are more than happy to talk with attendees that appreciate their works! Don’t hesitate to strike up a conversation and get to know the lovely people behind the wonderful art!
There are also multiple ways to get freebies during the event! Stickers, Prints, and Clothing are all prizes to be given through raffles, games, and rewards for doing tasks!
Art Market Etiquette
Patrons of the Arts aims to grow a respectful and welcoming environment for artists and attendees. An important step in achieving this is educating the community about art market etiquette. A prime example of this is haggling during art events. Although we Filipinos pride ourselves as one of the world’s top hagglers, negotiating with an artist is a big no during art markets.
Chichillitle’s artwork sums up a lot of things that trouble artists during fairs.
Connecting artists to people and businesses
The event serves as a bridge between artists, art enthusiasts, and businesses. By creating networking opportunities, Patrons of the Arts facilitates meaningful connections that extend beyond the event itself. Artists have the chance to engage with potential patrons and art collectors, opening doors for collaborations, commissions, and future opportunities for growth and exposure.
Becoming a Patron
Patrons of the Arts goes beyond simply appreciating art and actively encourages attendees to support artists through art acquisition. The event guides art buying and commissioning, empowering attendees to become advocates and supporters of the arts. By learning about the value of purchasing artworks and commissioning personalized pieces, attendees contribute to the sustainability and success of Filipino artists. The team hopes that the attendees will exit with a burning passion for supporting more local artists or even creating their own art!
