Disney’s latest PG-rated film The Little Mermaid may have “accidentally” included a porn star for a merman role after deciding to hire “really sexy male models” to play the said role in the movie.
One of the hired mermen is 24-year-old Stefano Tomadini, who had also starred in an adult film under the pseudonym Dante Ferrari and has already appeared in three porn videos.
According to a source from The Toronto Sun, the “casting bosses decided to hire a number of really sexy male models to play mermen in the movie.”
However, “They had no idea about Stefano’s racy videos and, given ‘The Little Mermaid’ is the big summer blockbuster for kids, it’s a bit embarrassing for Disney,” the source said.
A spokesperson for Disney is said to have declined to comment on the matter.
In light of the news, Tomadini/Ferrari has seemingly disappeared from social media.
The 2023 live-action adaptation of the Disney princess film directed by Rob Marshall (Chicago, Mary Poppin Returns) starring singer and actress Halle Bailey premiered last May, becoming one of the highest-grossing films this year.
The film follows the story of the 1989 animated film of the same name, revolving around young Ariel (played by Bailey) who sacrificed her voice in order to walk and wander the world of humans, and later fall in love with Prince Eric (played by Jonah Hauer-King).
The film also stars Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, Jessica Alexander as Ursula’s human alter-ego Vanessa, Javier Bardem as King Triton, Daveed Diggs as the voice of Sebastian, Jacob Tremblay as the voice of Flounder, and Awkwafina as the voice of Scuttle, among many others.
