Super Junior to release 11th studio album, to go on concert tour soon

The Kings of the Hallyu Wave and “ahjussis” are coming back.

On June 13, 2022 at 12 M.N. KST, Label SJ and Super Junior announced that the group will be returning to music with their 11th full-length album, “The Road: Keep on Going” with a concept trailer. This will be their second comeback in 2022, following their special single album, “The Road: Winter for Spring” last February.

Days prior, the 9-member group announced their ninth concert tour, “Super Junior World Tour – Super Show 9: Road” which will be held at the Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Seoul from July 15 to 17, 2022. The concert however, will only see the participation of 8 members—Leeteuk, Yesung, Shindong, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook, and Kyuhyun, due to member Heechul’s leg health reasons and difficulty in performing.

ELFs, Super Junior’s fans, were more than elated to hear news of their favorite group’s comeback following their solo activities, and were nonetheless understanding of Heechul’s non-participation in the concert. The tag, “SUPER JUNIOR IS COMING” trended on social media shortly after news of their comeback was reported.

Are ELFs ready yet? These ahjussis are about to prove why they’re still relevant in K-Pop today. In fact, they’re the ones that began the Hallyu wave anyway.
