Attendees were also given a walkthrough on the history of Careless Music by James Reid, and shortly after, CEO Jeffrey Oh spoke about the music label’s current status and new direction. Jeffrey also expounded on the factors he and James consider when it comes to considering new talents to sign, placing an importance on the family dynamic that Careless Music has internally. “First of all, they should be family. We are a family of risk takers, willing to support each other,” explained Oh.

Jeffrey and James then proceeded to introduce the new additions to the Careless Music roster of talents, first with Issa Pressman. After her contract signing, Issa explained how she was scouted by James to join Careless which actually happened in a casual setting. According to her, they were all hanging out as friends with Issa showcasing her then new single “Monkey Business” when James approached her shortly after to ask if she was already signed with a label.

Just right after, Jeffrey and James proceeded to introduce Liza Soberano as the second artist who will be signed as the newest Careless Artist. When asked why she chose to sign with Careless Music, Liza shared that she has been wanting to work with a young management company and being with one that is fearless when it comes to taking risks is what attracted her to sign with the music label. “It is very exciting and encouraging to see a lot of people [within Careless Music] pursuing their dreams and passion at such an early age and doing it the way that they want to do it. That’s kind of what I seek in my career: to have a lot more creative freedom and control and to [be able to] create my own path and destiny,” shared Liza during her signing.
