True to its vision of empowering youth for leadership, AIESEC in the University of Santo Tomas (AIESEC in UST) launches Tomorrowland, a virtual cross-cultural conference that seeks to empower and equip the youth towards nation-building.
As a cross-cultural conference, Tomorrowland invites both local and international delegates to participate in its 3-day program this coming July 22 to 24, 2021. With its outer space theme, this event is also set to Blast Off To A New Future through creating inclusive and immersive spaces which will discuss the three aspects of nation-building namely, Structural, Economic, and, Socio-cultural.
The Structural aspect will be the main focus for the first day and it will consist of discussions relating to Leadership Integrity and Transparency. These discussions are aimed at imparting to the youth the significance of accountability in leadership as future leaders of institutions and nations. On the other hand, the Economic aspect will be the theme for the second day and it will mainly focus on discussions about Financial Literacy and Employability. These topics are aimed at providing the youth the necessary skills to attain financial literacy and employability as future financial stakeholders and workforce of the society. Lastly, the Socio-cultural aspect will be the foremost agenda for the third day and it will discuss topics on Encouraging Unity in Diversity. These discussions are aimed at instilling the value of social inclusiveness among the youth as future citizens of the world society.
To ensure the fulfillment of its goals and objectives, Tomorrowland has invited sought-after and highly-acclaimed speakers known for their wisdom and expertise in various fields. Some of these speakers include Mr. Anthony Pangilinan, the Chairman and Chief Disturber of Business Works Inc., Attorney Jose Manuel “Chel” Diokno, a well-known human rights lawyer in the Philippines, and Ms. Nicole Cordoves, the titleholder of Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2016. There are also 13 participating countries including Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Japan, Singapore and Thailand. Aside from these, Tomorrowland has also prepared fun, exciting and exhilarating activities ranging from discussion spaces, interactive activities, cultural night, and a whole lot more!
