Every dataset holds the potential to reshape the future.
This March 10-16, the UPLB Computer Society officially launches the 41st edition of the Computer Science Week(CS Week), an iteration of excellence and innovation, set to create a platform for the Filipino people to learn more about technology and its capabilities.
In navigating the principles of Data Science, the UPLB Computer Science Society continues to fulfill a core objective: widening the applications of Computer Science, promoting understanding, and fostering innovation in this data-driven society through programming.
With this year’s theme, “Beyond the Numbers: Unpacking the Realm of Data Science”, this installation of CS Week highlights the process of transforming raw data into clever insights and groundbreaking discoveries.
There is a noticeable growth in data science as a field in the industry. As the society relies more on data-driven solutions, it surges an increase in demand for highly-skilled individuals in terms of programming, data analysis, and visualization.
CS Week offers the perfect opportunity for students to showcase their skills, obtain insights, and explore different job openings from notable companies, along with joining a community of like-minded individuals passionate about computer and data science.
The 41st CS Week features six (6) events, each highlighting the skills and opportunities available for computer science enthusiasts. These events include:
