FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully are back to solve a new problem the world faces today — world hunger.
The hit TV series X-Files is considered as one of the most compelling mystery thrillers that has ever graced television back in the early 90’s to early 2000’s. Its popularity even resulted in two feature films that hit the big screen and a series revival which concluded back in 2018. Not to mention the theme song that has been one of the show’s biggest trademarks to date.
Thanks to Big Light Productions, many fans were ecstatic to find out that the iconic theme song was revisited and sung by none other than the show’s beloved cast.
Thirty three members of the show’s cast and crew reunited via Zoom to perform a version of the song written by contest winners Jennifer Large and Rebecca MacDonald. The performance of the cast was both hilarious and sentimental, especially for longtime fans of the show.
The video really gave fans a trip down memory lane with the show’s history and characters all coming together while attempting to get in sync to the tune of Mark Snow’s epic musical score.
A team from Big Light Productions, led by founder Frank Spotnitz who also served as executive producer of X-Files for four years, made the initiative to get the cast back together for a fundraiser in which all profits go to the World Central Kitchen — a non-governmental organization devoted to providing meals in the wake of natural disasters.
The video’s description notes “This project was conceived to bring a smile and to raise funds for the World Central Kitchen, supporting their worldwide mission to provide a hot plate of food when it’s needed the most.” The project has already raised over 5,000 dollars.
We’re here for it. Thank you @davidduchovny @GillianA @DtoidChris @FrankSpotnitz and the entire @thexfiles cast! https://t.co/fTpWmpVtY8

What better way for X-Files fans to enjoy a cast reunion than to have the opportunity to serve a greater purpose.
