Janina Vela makes her comeback to the music scene with her latest single “Hello Stranger.”
Two years after the release of her self-titled debut EP, Janina changes pace with a fun, upbeat, and relatable track that talks about stumbling upon an ex and meeting each other again as “strangers.”
The story stems from a personal experience of the young singer-songwriter, which she then translated into song form. Talking more about this experience, Janina says, “this song is about meeting someone, becoming friends, more than friends, then eventually becoming strangers again.”
Following the release of the song, #HelloStranger emerged as the #1 trending topic on Twitter in the Philippines, with the “Vela fam” being prompted to share their own “Hello Stranger” stories.
Hello Stranger is now available for streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, and Deezer under Universal Records.
