BLACKPINK soloist Jennie has once again made fans swoon with her new single ‘Love Hangover’ featuring Dominic Fike. With stunning visuals and vocals, Jennie also surprised fans with the song’s newly released music video.

The campy music video started with Riverdale actor Charles Melton in a funeral, sending off an all dolled up Jennie in a blue coffin. Jennie’s acting skills perfectly captured the chaotic dates she shared with her co-star, Melton, which always ended with her character’s deathly spirals —a nod to the heartbreak narrative of the song.
A K-pop superstar herself, Jennie’s sultry vocals served all throughout the track which was well complemented by Fike’s fast paced verses. ‘Love Hangover’ captured the toxic complexities of a relationship and breaking free from it, no matter how unhinged it was portrayed.
Fans were quick to share their support and glee at the new music video, praising Jennie’s versatility as a singer with the R&B inspired single.
we all know jennie is super versatile, but i'm still blown away by the song!! it's really good, and the mv is so unserious. she looked absolutely gorgeous.

I love how Jennie always changes her voice to match the vibes of each song and I hate to pick a favourite but her soft, smooth yet a bit husky way of singing melts me every damn time #JENNIE_LoveHangover#제니_러브행오버_들어봐

This is much more than a music video. It's an exquisite piece of art that tells a story of love so engrossing that words can't express how beautiful it is.

Social media users also shared how they loved Jennie’s “unserious” personality and humor which evidently shined throughout the song’s visual storytelling. “Get Jennie in a comedy show right now,” some users appealed.

There were much praises toward the K-pop superstar as fans were truly able to see her personality as a creative shine through the music video, considering that Jennie was also credited as both the producer and composer for ‘Love Hangover.’
This song marked Jennie’s third pre-release for her upcoming first solo album ‘Ruby,’ this March 7. The album will also feature more collabs from top music artists such as Dua Lipa, Childish Gambino, Doechii, and Kali Uchis to name a few.’
