Jeon Somi to make her return to music in August

The official South Korean Barbie is coming back to slay again (finally).

On July 24, 2023, THEBLACKLABEL and Jeon Somi officially announce her comeback with her new profile image, along with other details and the title of her upcoming EP, “GAME PLAN.” This is Jeon Somi’s first comeback in almost 2 years after the release of her first studio album, “XOXO” in October 2021. The album included her past singles, “Birthday,” and “What You Waiting For.”

Her EP will be digitally released on August 7, 2023 at 6 P.M. KST, while the physical album will be a week later on August 14, 2023.

Jeon Somi’s comeback was initially confirmed by her agency THEBLACKLABEL in June 2023, where the agency confirmed to South Korean news outlet Star News that the soloist was gearing up for her comeback.

Upon announcing the final date for Jeon Somi’s comeback, THEBLACKLABEL said, “Please anticipate what music and performance Jeon Somi, who proved herself to be a solo queen with irreplaceable skills and unique charms while receiving love from many fans, will show through her newly introduced profile image.”

On the same day, Jeon Somi also dropped 2 teaser images to the concept of her upcoming EP, “Game Plan.”

Jeon Somi’s comeback has K-Pop stan Twitter at their wit’s end, especially since her music has always been a hit with fans.
