Fans of ‘The Little Mermaid’ movie applaud Ariel and Prince Eric’s chemistry

The highly-anticipated “The Little Mermaid” recently hit theaters worldwide, and many of its fans online are lauding the chemistry of Halle Bailey (Ariel) and Jonah Hauer-King (Prince Eric) in the film.

“The Little Mermaid” is a live-action remake of the famous 1989 animated film of the same name. It follows the story of Ariel, the young mermaid who gave up her voice to have human legs in order to explore the world of humans and be with the prince that she loves.

Aside from Bailey and Hauer-King, other members of the cast include Melissa McCarthy (Ursula), Javier Bardem (King Triton), Daveed Diggs (voice of Sebastian), Jacob Tremblay (voice of flounder) and many more. This film was directed by Rob Marshall.

“The Little Mermaid” had a $250 million production budget, according to another report. It performed well, generating $38 million on its opening day. The film was released in the Philippine cinemas last May 24 and has been getting positive reviews from many viewers.

Fans and viewers of the film were thrilled to see the great chemistry between Ariel and Prince Eric in the film. Many expressed their amusement at the two’s chemistry on Twitter.

“I didn’t expect to love it more than the original but I did,” an online user tweeted. “It was so well done and the chemistry between Prince Eric & Ariel was mesmerizing. Sequel please?” the user added.

“I saw the little mermaid last night and I literally could not get over how beautiful Halle is and also the chemistry between her and prince eric,” another fan tweeted. “The love felt genuine I wanted to cry,” the online user added in the tweet.

Many fans are also looking forward to seeing the two actors in other projects again in the future.
