Kathryn Bernardo starts shooting ‘A Very Good Girl’ film with Dolly De Leon

Star Cinema shared a sneak peek of the highly-anticipated film of Kathryn Bernardo and Dolly De Leon, ‘A Very Good Girl’.

On May 25, Star Cinema posted a photo from the shooting of the film ‘A Very Good Girl’, wherein, we can see the hands of Kathryn Bernardo and Dolly De Leon holding a clapperboard while doing the middle finger sign – with the caption, “Goodness starts rolling today.”

During a press event for Bernardo’s 2023 movie projects last March, it is shared that ‘A Very Good Girl’ will be a ‘dark comedy’ genre, directed by ‘2 Cool 2 Be 4gotten’ director, Petersen Vargas, and will be based on a screenplay by Marionne Dominique Mancol, who worked in Star Cinema’s 2021 series, ‘He’s Into Her’.

The film will be under the creative direction of Carmi Raymundo, with Noel Teehankee as the director of photography.

According to Vargas, “It’s going to be a dark comedy but with a lot of class and sass.”

“We want to serve lang this fantasy of alam mo ‘yun representing this frustrated and powerless generation pero through Kathryn’s character. So maraming aabangan,” he said.

This will be Bernardo’s comeback to the big screen almost four years after the release of the highest-grossing Filipino film, ‘Hello, Love, Goodbye’, in 2019 – and will also mark her first ‘dark comedy’ genre.

It will also be one of De Leon’s many projects after the success of 2022’s Palme d’Or winner, ‘Triangle of Sadness’, which gained her various nominations and wins for ‘Best Supporting Actress’.

‘A Very Good Girl’ is slated to be released in cinemas this 2023.
