Latto denies ‘photoshop’ accusations after the internet calls her out for her unrealistic Coachella crowd snap

There’s no doubt that Big Latto pulled out an impressive performance at Coachella over the weekend.  Yet, some social media users are accusing the rapper of editing a photo of her Coachella crowd, which she posted on Instagram.

The Best New Artist Grammy nominee was one of the biggest artists to perform in one of the greatest music festivals in the world. As previously reported, she was part of the Sunday lineup of this year’s edition of the event’s first weekend. However, just a few days after performing in front of a huge crowd, a snap of her audience made the rounds online when social media users noticed that the said photo was Photoshopped and there were duplicates of the crowd members.

Allegations about the photo taken from the stage being replicated in the crowd on both edges to make it appear larger than it actually was have caused a debate between critics and supporters. Many internet users expressed their dismay regarding the issue.

Some even claimed that they received an offer to scream during Latto’s set in exchange for money.

Shortly after the backlash, the singer’s fans turned down the speculations, saying that she didn’t have to edit the photo because there was no reason for her to fake it.

On April 18, Latto took to social media and broke her silence to shut down false accusations about her.

“Never photoshopped a crowd lmao. I expanded it so it would for in my Instagram swipe without getting cut off but it was clearly f—ed up so I didn’t end up using it & just posted the wrong version by accident on Twitter babes,” she wrote on her Instagram stories.

Latto then ended her statement by writing the word, ‘Next’, along with a smiling emoji surrounded by many hearts.

Joining Latto on Sunday’s line-up of Coachella performers are Kali Uchis, Jackson Wang, Rae Sremmurd, and many more.
