Scarlett Johansson continues to do without social media, for a good reason

Scarlett Johansson, the beloved actress of Marvel fame, has recently made headlines with her revelation that she is too fragile for social media. In a recent interview, the Black Widow star opened up about why she can’t handle the pressures of being online.

Johansson admitted that she simply cannot have a public social media presence as her ego is too delicate to handle the scrutiny of comments and criticisms. “My brain is too fragile. I’m like a delicate flower,” she shared.

With millions of fans and followers, the constant attention and opinions of others can be overwhelming, even for someone as strong and successful as Johansson.

But it’s not just the negative feedback that scares her away from social media. The Hollywood A-lister also finds the endless scrolling to be a waste of time, revealing that she recently lost track of 20 minutes of her life browsing a friend-of-a-friend’s Instagram page.

“I now know you have a pit bull and two daughters and you live in, like, Burbank,” she said.

And don’t even get Johansson started on TikTok. The actress admits that she falls into the same patterns every time she has to make videos for work, revealing, “I then become like a 3-year old with their mom’s phone where I get completely absorbed into it. So, that’s why I know I can’t have it.”

Despite her aversion to social media, Johansson remains one of the most popular and successful actresses in Hollywood. Her latest film, Black Widow, was a major hit with audiences and critics alike, cementing her status as one of the industry’s most bankable stars.

And while we may not be able to follow her daily life on social media, at least we can catch her in action on the big screen. And let’s be honest, isn’t that what we really care about anyway?
