He’s Mr. Rover, and he really is coming over (to slay).
On March 13, 2023, EXO member KAI released his 3rd solo mini album titled “Rover”, along with the music video for the mini album’s title track of the same name. This marks KAI’s return to solo music after the release of “Peaches” 1 year and 3 months ago.
Kai’s 3rd mini album consists of 6 new tracks, including the title track of the same name, “Rover”. The mini album dives into genres such as dance, R&B soul, R&B hip-hop, and pop. Prior to the EP’s release, Kai had teased some of his newest songs on EXO’s official TikTok and Instagram pages, bringing in a lot of anticipation for the EXO member’s newest music release.
“Rover”, the title track, is described as a dance song with a heavy bass, marimba, bells, and a variety of percussions. Its lyrics encourage listeners to break free of other’s opinions and to live freely as “wanderers”. The music video sees Kai dancing with hip-hop dancers and ballerinas in a variety of scenes.
EXO-Ls in particular, were highly anticipating Kai’s newest music release, especially with how good his sound was in his past 2 EPs.
