EXO-Ls, the long wait is officially over! EXO’s dancing machine will make a comeback in March as a solo artist!
On February 14, a news outlet reported that Kai will be returning to the stage with a new album in mid-March. Following the report, SM Entertainment confirmed that Kai has plans on releasing a new solo track in the middle of the said month.
On February 17, Kai himself announced the date of his much-anticipated solo return, which will happen on March 13 with his third mini album, ‘Rover.’ This is going to be the first solo single that the K-pop artist will release, one year and four months after the debut of his second mini album ‘Peaches’ in November 2021.
Prior to the announcement, Kai performed for his fans during the ‘Kai Japan Special Live 2023′ concert, accomplishing four shows across Osaka, Nagoya, and Yokohama. Currently, he is preparing for EXO’s all-out comeback and a fan meet event in Seoul in April for the members’ 11th-anniversary celebration as a group.
In 2020, the South Korean star debuted as a soloist with the release of his extended work, ‘Kai’. Aside from his soaring career in the music industry, the ‘Peaches’ singer is also a talented actor who played significant roles in several K-dramas like ‘Andante,’ ‘Choco Bank,’ ‘Spring Has Come’ and ‘The Miracle We Met’.
He is also considered a highly influential ‘fashion icon’ in South Korea, as he was chosen as an ambassador of the Seoul Fashion Week and collaborated with Gucci for the brand’s limited-edition capsule collection.
With his numerous feats as a solo artist in a short amount of time, Kai has been labeled by South Korean media companies as a ‘world-class performer’ and an ‘irreplaceable idol.’
