The new Kapamilya actress Lovi Poe who plays the role of the main character’s wife Iris in the adaptation couldn’t help but react to Lee’s post.
“MY HEART. You and the whole cast gave such a powerful performance that people all over the world wanted to make adaptations for the show,” she posted in the comment section. Previously, Poe admitted that working on the adaptation is a “dream come true” as the series is among the list of her favorite K-dramas.
She channeled her inner fangirl and reposted Lee’s post via IG story with the caption, “Do Hyun Su himself. I cry as a fangirl.”
The Filipino adaptation follows the same plot as the original series wherein Jacob (Piolo Pascual) hides his true identity from his detective wife, Iris (Lovi Poe). As the story unfolds, the latter gradually discovers her husband’s dark past.
The show is currently airing. It premiered last June 23 on Viu and on June 25 on Kapamilya channel. Pascual and Poe act alongside the star-studded cast composed of Joross Gamboa, Denise Laurel, Edu Manzano, Agot Isidro, Gardo Versoza, Joem Bascon, and JC de Vera.
