Bryanboy under fire for mispronouncing V’s name

Bryanboy, a well-known Filipino blogger and socialite, mispronounced BTS’ V’s real name, Taehyung, which upset and offended some fans.

BTS’ V and other Korean celebrities such as Lisa from Black Pink and Park Bo Gum attended the Celine Fashion Week event in Paris.

Bryanboy, whom most Filipinos refer to as “Ninang”, attended the event and posted a TikTok video featuring Lisa Manoban.

Some fans were thrilled to see Lisa and Ninang, while others noticed that Bryanboy skipped or did not greet Taehyung at the event.

This is where Bryanboy made such an offensive mistake for Taehyung stans.

When asked if he had a photo with V, he responded by making a TikTok wherein he mispronounces V’s name.

Bryanboy pronounced Taehyung’s name as Tah-Eh-hyung, pronouncing the “Tae” part of the name like the Filipino word for poop. V’s followers were outraged and disappointed with the Filipino blogger, saying that if he doesn’t know how to pronounce V’s name, he should at least look it up and not disrespect it.

Bryanboy started trending on social media after the said video and even tweeted to ask if he was trending.

Bryanboy has yet to speak up about the comments of fans all over social media, and the insensitive and offensive TikTok videos are still on his account.
