Chris Evans says ‘RIP’ to his old friend, the iPhone 6s

We all know that celebrities are ultra-rich people who probably have the latest in tech, fashion, and any material thing. Chris Evans is a different story, though, as he’s been holding on to an iPhone 6s, a phone that came out seven years ago and still has a home button. He said his goodbyes to his trusty phone and switched to an iPhone 13. He had to share his final words for his old friend on social media of course.

Evans expressed his grief over losing his beloved phone on his Instagram post, which garnered a crazy 2 million likes as of writing. He missed the phone’s home button, but not the dated hardware and its deterioration – the grainy camera, faulty battery, and the weird charging.

Chris Evans is one of the highest-paid actors out there. A quick google search gives us his net worth of about $80 million, and we can attribute that to his constant involvement in one of the most profitable movie franchises ever, the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Despite his huge amounts of money, it’s interesting how he’s never upgraded his phone in the many years he’s had it. I guess he’s just not a materialistic type of guy, making him even more attractive to the general public, especially to those Marvel fangirls on social media.

Apple is releasing their iOS 16 software in a few months, but that new software will drop support for older devices like the iPhone 6s. That probably helped in Chris Evans’ decision to upgrade to a newer version of the iPhone.
