MTV EMA finally released their nominees for the 2021 Awards show, and SB19–the only Filipino act to be nominated this year–made it to the ‘Best Southeast Asia Act’ category. Other nominees include Lyondra (Indonesia), Ink Waruntorn (Thailand), Naim Daniel (Malaysia), JJ Lin (Singapore), and K-ICM (Vietnam).

The P-Pop boy group made their mark in the international scene after being nominated for the ‘Top Social Artist’ category in the Billboard Music Awards back in April 2021. The nomination alone was, of course, a huge feat, as they vied for the award against international pop stars Ariana Grande, BTS, BLACKPINK, and SEVENTEEN.

With their steady growth in the industry, it’s no surprise that they’re getting recognition through international nominations, making them one of the country’s national treasures.

Fans can vote for SB19 on the MTV EMA’s website starting October 20th until November 10th.
