Five days after Julie Anne San Jose dropped her first single for this year, this multifaceted artist surprised everyone with a fierce music video. Showcasing her singing prowess and her flair in dancing, she performed every dance step with skyrocketing energy.
Joined by DJ Loonyo onstage, her launch at All-Out Sundays last May 2 gave us a glimpse of the song’s chill and groovy steps. She also did an hour live on Facebook before the music video’s 8pm premiere last May 5 to celebrate its launching night. Following the #FREEdanceWithJulie dance challenge which she recently promoted, we can expect to see various dance covers in TikTok in the days to come.
“FREE” was featured in Spotify’s New Music Friday and OPM Rising playlists and Youtube Music’s New Releases section. It also landed the number 2 spot on iTunes Philippines Chart just a few hours after its official release last week.
Behind the song “FREE” is a team of outstanding producers both from the US and the Philippines — Herdy Casseus, Andrew Gonzales, Carlisle Tabanera, and Ito Rapadas. Julie Anne San Jose also co-wrote the song with Eduardo Gonzalez and Denise Pimping.
