Hoda Kotb embarks on a new chapter with wellness venture after leaving ‘TODAY’

Co-anchor Hoda Kotb of NBC News’ morning show “TODAY,” had officially signed off following her 26-year career as she announced last September 2024 and bid her goodbyes in her final time on-air last January 10 this year.

It appears, however, that it will not be the last time we will get to see or hear from her as she did not actually leave the scene. Fans are awaiting her newest adventure as her new project on wellness officially launches this May.

Prompted by her desire to spend more time with her daughters Haley Joy (9) and Hope (5), she shared, “Obviously I had my kiddos late in life, and I was thinking that they deserve a bigger piece of my time pie that I have.” She added, “I feel like we only have a finite amount of time.”

Kotb shared how she initially had some doubts, but was quick to let go of those uncertainties when her daughter made her realize otherwise. She says, “I was sitting in my office and my daughter Haley came running down the stairs. It was a full moon, I remember it was so bright in my office, and she went, ‘You really are here.’” That very moment gave Kotb all her confirmation and she goes on to say that it’s the little things in their precious time together that have made her love her new routine.

Despite the end of an era in the famous morning show, a new one is about to make its way in as her next chapter involving a business pursuit in wellness is nearing its release. Kotb candidly shared, “So I am starting a wellness app and company that will involve retreats and a podcast and all kinds of things that we can get together do things that I love.”

Earlier this January, Kotb officially filed a business license for “Joy With Hoda, LLC.” with a trademark for it covering “wellness and health-related consulting services; providing information in the fields of health and wellness.”

The business will consist of educational services where seminars, and the like are, to be conducted tackling the field of women’s health and personal awareness. Another element to Kotb’s new project that did not go by unnoticed was the personalized touch to its brand as her 9 year old’s second name, Joy, is a part of the business’s title.

While she shared that retirement has kept her feeling refreshed, she exhibits her enthusiasm in her new pursuit lightheartedly joking, “I am not sleeping,” adding, “I can’t wait, and I’ll come to tell you about it as soon as it’s ready.” She ends off by sharing her optimism saying, “I’m very excited about the next chapter.”
