ARMYs better grab some bread as BTS returns with ‘Butter’

If you danced along to “Dynamite” when it first came out, then you better get ready for BTS’ second English release “Butter”.

Through their fan community platform Weverse, the popular KPop group announced their second English-language single “Butter” that will be released on May 21, surprising fans everywhere and bringing them to the top of Twitter’s trending list (again).

BTS’ fans, also known as ARMY, were caught by surprise when the septet dropped a logo trailer that teased the group’s single and were confused when the video lasted for 1 hour and 27 seconds.

The trailer featured a block of butter slowly melting into a heart and in the last few seconds, the now heart-shaped block of butter slid away to the side to announce the name of BTS’ upcoming single with the date of release. As of writing, BTS’ “Butter” Logo Trailer now has over 10 million views on YouTube, over 394,300 retweets and more than 895,100 likes on Twitter.

Here are some of the ARMYs reactions to the news:

BTS has made headlines for being the first KPop group to be nominated at the Grammy Awards for the Best pop duo/group performance award, as well as the first Korean artist in history to become a nominee in the BRIT Awards last March 31.

BTS also became a hot topic in the Philippines for becoming the newest ambassadors for a local telecommunications company.

ARMYs, what are you waiting for? Time to get some bread, because BTS will be coming back with some “Butter” soon!
