The UP JMA Jumpstart App Batch, along with InqPop, Inquirer.Net, and Philippine Daily Inquirer, proudly presents, Makai! A chance to let the sea mingle with the city through a Hawaiian-inspired food festival that will bring you an experience all the way from the other side of the globe! This is in cooperation with DewFoam, ClickTheCity, Wish 107.5 and WhenInManila; with special thanks to Fundador, and brought to you by Tanduay Ice, Heineken, Pinnacle Parts Co., Inc. and The Manila Times.
First and foremost a food festival, Makai will feature a rich fusion of island cuisine sure to satisfy anyone, young or old! Aside from the exotic and scrumptious eats, a tiki bar serving tropical refreshments will also be available for those who want to take their beach-side experience to the next level.
Complete with games and booths for children and children-at-heart, Instagram-worthy shots for the ones perfecting their feeds, and stellar acts such as Syd Hartha, Carousel Casualties, Smoothie Booze, The Acquainted and many more for those who like to sing along and dance the night away, Makai certainly won’t let you run out of ways to enjoy the evening!

As you celebrate tropical culture and cuisine through food, music, and interactive booths and revel by the shores of beautiful beaches without stepping out of the metropolis, you can help UP JMA’s student scholars through the KIDS program, which is the heart and why of the organization.
