WATCH: Woman falls to the ground as death-defying trapeze act goes wrong

The audience of America’s Got Talent were left in shock after a woman slipped through her partner’s hand and fall onto the stage during a heart-stopping trapeze act.

Husband and wife trapeze duo, Mary and Tyce, had everyone on the edge of their seats as they performed death-defying stunts high above the stage. The couple, who go by the name Duo Transcend, wowed the judges and the audience with their acrobatic routine and even had the stage literally set on fire.

Throughout their routine, the couple showed off various lifts and throws in the air. And for their final act, Tyce, who’s hanging upside down, blindfolded himself as he tries to catch his wife.

But as Mary drops above him, she slips through Tyce’s grip and falls to the stage.

Everyone, including their 2-year-old son and his grandmother, gasped at the sight of Mary falling to the ground. Luckily, Mary didn’t have any serious injury and managed to stand up immediately after the fall.

Despite the fall, Mary asked the judges if they can try to do the blindfolded trick one more time and Mel B instantly yelled “No, it’s fine!”

Ken Jeong also reassured the two that what they did is more than enough to prove their talent. “It’s not America’s Got Perfection, it’s America’s Got Talent, no one can do this. I mean, it’s okay!” he said.

Simon Cowell echoed the comments of his co-judges and said that he doesn’t think there’s ever been a singer in the competition who’s been known perfect. “It doesn’t make them not amazing, it makes them human.”
