James Reid wins ‘Best Southeast Asian Act’ award in 2017 MTV EMA

The 2017 MTV EMAs, one of the biggest global music events of the year that celebrates the hottest artists from around the world, will broadcast to MTV channels worldwide from The SSE Arena, Wembley in London and aired live on MTVph last November 13, Monday—Red Carpet at 3 AM and Main Show at 4 AM. The repeat telecast aired on the same day: Red Carpet at 7 PM and Main Show at 8 PM.

The show was filled with outstanding performances by Liam Payne, Travis Scott, French Montana, Clean Bandit, Shawn Mendes, Demi Lovato, Camila Cabello, Kesha, The Killers, Stormzy, and this year’s 2017 MTV EMA host Rita Ora, who performed her highly-anticipated new single.

James Reid who is up for the Best Southeast Asian Act Award, won the title last week! “The goal of my album is to help the [growth of] the local music scene here. There’s so much talent here and my dream is to bring that to the world stage,” says Reid.

He released his new album Palm Dreams earlier this year, and has won over a multitude of fans across the country.
