HS students gear up for the “MYX MOVES” dance battle semis

High school dance crews in Mega Manila are getting ready to battle it out at the second installment of “MYX Moves Street Dance Competition,” and this time, they will hop to fresh tunes as music channel MYX raises the bar by making the game the country’s first ever street dance clash featuring all-original tracks by top local DJs.

MYX has partnered with record label, Star Music, to produce original tunes for the first dance album of “MYX Moves.” The teams will work together with music producers Borhuh x MRKIII, John Sedano, MVRXX, and Ian Sndrz for their competition mixes.

A total of 15 dance teams have been chosen as semi-finalists and are now battling for online votes.

The best dance crews from Marist School, Xavier School, Paco Catholic School, Longos National High School, and Jose P. Laurel Sr. High School are vying to be “MYX Moves” All Boys Division pick.

Dance groups from School Of The Holy Spirit, St. Paul College Pasig, Dominican College, Colegio De Sta. Rosa, and Holy Family School have been chosen as the strongest contenders for the All Girls Division.

The assertive dancers from Colegio San Agustin, School Of St. Anthony, Esteban Abada High School, Bulihan National High School, and Fort Bonifacio High School are all competing to be the Co-Ed Division champ.

All “MYX Moves” division winners will receive P50,000 cash prize while the Grand Champion gets P100,000 cash prize. Aside from these, prizes will be given to the nine division finalists, the MYX Supreme Mover and Online Voters’ Choice.

Catch the “MYX Moves” semifinals on September 17 at the Ayala Mall South Park. To vote for your favorite dance crew, visit myxmoves.myxph.com. MYX is on Skycable channel 23. For updates, log on to www.myxph.com or follow MYX on Instagram (@MYXPhilippines) and Twitter (@MYXPhilippines).
