Monique, Warner Music’s freshest discovery, is off to an impressive start. The singer-songwriter recently released her debut single, the emotionally charged “Lullaby” which has since raked in nearing 20,000 streams on Spotify alone following its packed single launch a couple of weeks back.
At this point, it looks like Monique is all pumped up with creative juices but goes for a softer take on her second single. “Speechless”, another one of her self-penned materials, is a breezy, upbeat pop song with melody and lyrics which are easy on the eardrums. It expounds on a faded romantic relationship of Monique, going like “This is my story. You walked out and left me with broken dreams.” which pretty gives the track a higher step-up in terms of relatability. And to make things even more relaxed, the single release will also come with the acoustic version of the track, featuring a stripped down but still packed version.
“Speechless” is personal, easy and simply beautiful track that shows off Monique’s multi-dimensional songwriting abilities, and you’d hear it soon on digital music platforms including Spotify, Apple Music and iTunes!
