Brad Pitt set to reprise role in Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Once Upon a Time In Hollywood’ sequel

Fight club star Brad Pitt is set to return in Quentin Tarentino’s “Once Upon a Time In Hollywood” sequel, and possibilities of Leonardo DiCaprio’s appearance are also in the talks, but are reported to be quite slim and unofficial.

Pitt will be reprising his role as fading star Rick Dalton’s (DiCaprio) stunt double and companion, Cliff Booth. This landed him the Best Supporting Actor Oscar at the 92nd Academy Awards up against Hollywood’s icons Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, Tom Hanks, and Anthony Hopkins.

The first movie featured other stars, namely, Margot Robbie, Margaret Qualey, Austin Butler, Mikey Madison, and many more A-list actors who gave audiences much anticipation for their star studded cast list. Its story had a violent conclusion as Dalton and Booth paired up to fight against the would-be Tate murderers and gave a beautiful dreamy ending to what could’ve been for Sharon Tate and Roman Polanski, had the events reversed.

With a new plot line in the making, a new director is also set to lead the upcoming film that is set in the late 1960s of Old Hollywood. While Tarentino will still be the writer in this new installment, the original maker of the feature project is stepping down and giving way to David Fincher to execute the sequel.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, Pitt “returned with Fitcher in tow” after probing Tarentino if he would consider someone else to direct the new project, to which his response was a mere “Depends who.” With Pitt and Fincher’s collaboration in many projects being “Se7en,” “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” and “Fight Club,” Tarantino allowed the opportunity and ultimately gave his blessing.

The first installment, released back in 2019, was financed by Sony Pictures and was eventually brought to Netflix for home viewers. While there is yet to be an official announcement of an official title or release date, what has been reported is that the sequel is to be set up by Netflix this time around, and will be in production by this summer.
