SEVENTEEN member Seungkwan recently unpinned a post he shared with ASTRO’s Moonbin from his Instagram account after receiving negative comments for an alcohol-related update.
Following the hostile comments for an alcohol-related update, Seungkwan of SEVENTEEN recently unpinned a post he had shared with Moonbin of ASTRO from his Instagram account.
The K-pop idol recently shared several pictures of himself with a can of CASS beer. Seungkwan, DK, and Hoshi from SEVENTEEN’s BSS were chosen as the summer digital campaign models, therefore the post was created as an advertisement for CASS, the Korean alcohol brand that partnered with the 2024 Paris Olympics.
His post reads, “Is everyone enjoying the Olympics together? Let’s cheer on the South Korean athletes until the very end! 💪Let’s create a support video for our South Korean athletes 💙Check out the profile link at @official.cass! #Ad #Cass #Olympics #CheerUp”
Seungkwan added a warning in the comments under his post and wrote, “Warning: Excessive drinking can lead to stroke, memory impairment, or dementia. Alcohol consumption during pregnancy increases the risk of birth defects. Whatever it is, do it in moderation.”
Social media users seem to be connecting BTS member Suga’s drunk driving incident with Seungkwan’s alcohol-related update.
As they continued to criticize Seungkwan and his late close friend Moonbin, the situation became more heated. Since then, the K-pop idol has unpinned the post from his Instagram feed.
Internet users expressed their frustration online claiming that Seungkwan had taken down the post, making it more difficult for people to locate the image and leave nasty comments under the particular post.
All i have 2 say about the seungkwan situation is that if someone posting “please drink responsibly” offends you to the point of death threats u should genuinely consider therapy

seungkwan unpinning his post of moonbin is so disheartening. the shit that fandom does with no repercussions is sickening. they know exactly how bad that fandom gets & still no one says a word to them but yet they can harass other idols for the hell of it? i wish them all hell

armys are actually sick in the head. going on seungkwan’s ig to mock moonbin’s death in his comments is the sickest and vilest thing they could do rn. moonbin hasn’t done ANYTHING to anyone and they’re using his death as something to laugh about. they need help i’m so serious

as an army carat, i wana say to my co-army to touch some grass. svt and bts are friends. seungkwan unpinning his post with moonbin is serious. there are some sensitive topics that should not be crossed or disrespected. y'all just did that to seungkwan. you should be ashamed.

Sorry but I’m still upset about the fact that Seungkwan had pinned those pictures with Moonbin for months and after yesterday he unpinned them. I hope those people h/ting on him or saying apologise never get to be happy in their existence.

For everyone who forced Seungkwan to unpin a beautiful tribute to Moonbin for being an adult who drinks alcohol and comment hate speech count your days
— Taylor (@taylorishme) August 13, 2024
They’re disgusting for sending seungkwan hate (that’s not even valid, he’s just saying to drink in moderation, which you should do) to the point he had to unpin moonbin post. The lack of respect and nasty those people are.. https://t.co/jIPFSMzHT0

If Seungkwan truly removed the post due to negative comments from another fandom, that’s a low blow. It’s important to note that the warning that he wrote in the comments is frequently used when K-pop idols are endorsing alcohol. It even appeared in the descriptions of the most recent “Going SEVENTEEN” video, which was sponsored by CASS.
