South Korean actor Ji Soo speaks up two years after bullying scandal, says he and accuser are on ‘good terms’

After keeping his silence for two years, actor Ji Soo recently decided to speak out about his bullying scandal.

Last March 2021, he was accused of school violence and bullying by an anonymous social media user. Due to this incident, KeyEast Entertainment, his agency at the time, terminated the actor’s contract while he was still filming the drama “River Where the Moon Rises.”

The actor then enlisted in the military in October of 2021, which indicates that he was just recently discharged from the military this year.

In an exclusive interview with the media outlet “Sports Chosun” last October 23, he said, “I met with the initial accuser of my bullying scandal and overcame our misunderstandings and now, we have a relationship where we support each other.”

He then discussed what happened when his bullying scandal first came to light while he was filming for his show. He said, “During that time when my bullying scandal was getting more serious, I left the drama and quickly enlisted in the military. I wanted to explain the misunderstandings, but I did not have an agency at that time so my explanations are very late. I’m not saying that I will state my side of the story just to make a comeback. All I’m saying is that I want to explain the things that were reported incorrectly.”

The informant also clarified to the media outlet that he has met up with Ji Soo, and the two are now in frequent contact with each other.

He also expressed regret for inflating the initial post he made with false information. Their interaction was amicable, as the accuser sent well wishes for his future, stating, “We have made up well with each other and now we are cheering for each other. I hope Ji Soo does well again.”
