Former (G)I-DLE member Soojin to return to the entertainment scene as a solo artist

Neverlands, war is definitely over. For now. *cough*

On October 16, 2023, South Korean news outlets reported that former (G)I-DLE member Soojin is preparing for her solo debut this year and had signed with BRD Communications. The agency confirmed these reports, stating that Soojin had signed a contract with them and that they “plan to release her [solo debut] album within this year.”

Neverlands was surprised at first to hear the news but was nevertheless overjoyed at the news of Soojin coming back to realize her dream as an idol.

However, not everyone seemed pleased with this announcement and thought negatively about it.

comments to Soojin

In 2021, Soojin was embroiled in a controversial bullying scandal, leading to her exit from her former group (G)I-DLE and the termination of her contract with CUBE Entertainment. Later on in September 2022, her legal rep announced that the lawsuit against her had been closed and that she still apologized for the “brash words” she had used in the past.

Earlier this year, Soojin had opened her personal Instagram account and still continued to communicate with her fans.
