Super Junior-D&E bring an intimate and playful fan con for Filipino ELFs for the first time with ‘DElight Party’

Super Junior-D&E, the dynamic duo of Super Junior members Donghae and Eunhyuk, brought their fan concert, “DElight Party” to Manila last September 30 at the Araneta Coliseum. Since their debut as a sub-unit in 2011, this marked their first-ever concert in the Philippines.

The fancon kicked off with a bang as the duo took the stage in sparkly glittery suits. Eunhyuk donned a purple coat, while Donghae wore a green coat, performing their hit songs “Zero” and “B.A.D.” The two created a lively atmosphere with a summer-themed performance of “Sunrise” and an engaging acapella rendition of “‘Bout You” by Eunhyuk, with fans enthusiastically chanting along.

One of the highlights of the event was a playful 99-second mission relay game, featuring Donghae’s amusing attempt to fix a toy gun, which later caused good-humored complaints from the duo about the lack of cheering from the audience. Eunhyuk playfully scolded the crowd, saying, “Guys, don’t just stay still.”

Moreover, the segment where the two read fan letters became a humorous highlight as well/ Donghae jokingly urged fans to study English harder after reading that some used slangs. He concluded his ‘scolding’ on a sweet note with “I love you so much.” Another fan request for Donghae to reveal his abs was humorously declined, claiming his “abs” were safely at home. The duo also entertained fans with the viral “Gento” challenge. Later on, D&E led fans to sing a birthday song for their fellow Super Junior member Shindong.

The two then showcased their versatility as they performed slow songs like “Still You” and “Gloomy.” This was followed by “I Wanna Dance,” during which they did individual dance breaks at the extended ramp of the stage. They then went on to sing their popular hit, “Oppa, Oppa.”

The encore stage featured a grand fan project video, creatively incorporating their photos with D&E photocards as they traveled around the Philippines. They also recorded an album relay from the duo’s first album to the latest ones.

Donghae’s dramatic plea not to be left alone and the playful cries from the duo added a humorous touch to the endingment. Donghae then told fans, “Kita ulit tayo sa susunod.”

The fancon concluded with a medley of Super Junior’s hits and an unexpected extension, with the duo donning “DElight Party” merch shirts and performing additional songs like “Can You Feel It?” and “Hello.”
