Filo SESANGs were on cloud nine when Kim Sejeong gave an all-out performance during her first-ever solo concert in Manila over the weekend.
On Sunday, October 1, Kim Sejeong, a highly sought-after Korean artist, had her concert at the New Frontier Theater. Fans were filled with joy after witnessing her first solo event in the country titled “The Door.” Sejeong opened her heart to her fans and unlocked different emotions with her world-changing sets of performances on the said tour.
This concert was the second leg of the world tour for the star of “Business Proposal,” set to be held in 11 countries with a total of 14 shows. Presented by Wilbros Live, Sejeong embarked on a magical journey with her Filipino supporters, entering the realm of love, peace, and euphoria at the Manila stop.
At the first part of the concert, the “I.O.I” & “Gugudan” vocalist entered the blue door with a bang. She enchanted the crowd with her captivating talent and beauty as she graced the stage in a white, dreamy ensemble. She then began singing her inspiring songs, “Whale” and “Destiny.”
Soon after her first two songs, Sejeong greeted fans with a huge smile on her face.
“The fans are so passionate in cheering. It’s my first concert here and your energy and love are above the level. I’ve been here before with my Gugudan members and I know how passionate you are. I will do my best to burn the stage until the end,” she said.
Sejeong shared that she write songs to have a deep connection with her listeners. She enjoys writing about love, hoping her fans can relate to her music. She then performed her heart-warming tracks, “Teddy Bear,” “Indigo Promise,” “Send A Letter,” and “Plant.”
Switching to a different persona, the talented soloist burned the stage with her oozing performances of “Jengga,” “Top or Cliff,” “Warning,” “Do Dum Chit,” “If you do,” and “Voyage.”
She also delighted her fans by serenading them with popular OSTs of the K-Drama hits, “Crash Landing on You,” “Business Proposal,” “The Uncanny Counter,” and “The Legend of the Blue Sea.”
For the finale, Sejeong sang “Sea of Hope,” “Flower Way,” and “In The Rain.” When done singing, she showed her cutest “aegyo,” driving everyone crazy.
Heading to a bittersweet goodbye, PH SESANGs prepared a surprise fan video project for Seojeng that made her quite emotional. She promised that even though she’s far away, she’ll try her best to “prepare and come back here for you.”
