Here’s why the Sprouse twins wore black headphones at Dylan’s wedding

Language barrier was not a problem for the Sprouse twins at Dylan’s wedding to Hungarian model Barbara Palvin. They were seen wearing black headphones throughout the celebration in Albertirsa, a small town outside Budapest, last July 15.

This became a source of confusion online with some fans after Vogue shared photographs from the event. In response to a commenter who asked, “Why does Cole have a headphone in his ear?” Vogue Germany posted a video on TikTok with a caption that explained why.

With most of the wedding guests being fluent in their native tongue, it noted that what the twins were wearing were translation headphones, to help the American twins communicate with the non-English speaking guests at the wedding ceremony—a conscious effort to respect and preserve the culture at the event.

The TikTok video, which now received over 6 million views as of writing, showed a compilation of some photos taken from the festivities, including a short message from the groom. Dylan wrote, “I had to speak Hungarian in front of everyone, and I was so nervous, but Barbara helped me all the way.”

The newlywed couple, who had been together since 2018, confirmed that they plan to host another wedding ceremony in California, following their Hungary nuptials.
