Social media personality Sassa Gurl and our ‘Pambansang Mima,’ is now in her singing era as she had just released her debut single “Maria Hiwaga” on June 16.
The song was co-written by Sassa herself, in collaboration with music artists Silas and Kumare Harvey, and was produced by Ken Ponce.
Former Drag Den contestants Pura Luka Vega and Aries Night starred in the creative music video alongside Sassa and Silas, which has been trending on YouTube under the Music category, placing at #3 with over 300k views.
Her first music endeavor also achieved the feat of reaching #44 on Spotify Philippines Top 50 chart.

Sassa became prominent through her comedic skits and lip-sync videos on TikTok which began in 2019 and has reached 7.5M followers with 326.8M likes since, eventually becoming one of the top influencers on the platform in the country.
Aside from her singing career, she has also dabbled acting by participating in an episode of GMA’s Wish Ko Lang. Sassa has also modeled for various magazines, including Preview and Preen, and has been one of the hosts of Drag Den alongside Drag artists Manila Luzon and beauty queen Nicole Cordoves.
