“Surprise, b*tch. I bet you thought you’d seen the last of me.”
One of FX’s ‘American Horror Story’ cult favorite alum, Emma Roberts, is back for season 12 of the Emmy-winning anthology series produced by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk.
Aside from Roberts, other confirmed cast of the season is Kim Kardashian, in a role specifically written with her in mind; Matt Czuchry, the first cast to be announced; and Cara Delevingne, who was seen on set with Roberts in New York City.

According to THR, the new season will be dubbed “Delicate” and will be based on Danielle Valentine’s upcoming novel, ‘Delicate Condition,’ which is a ‘first’ for the anthology series to be based on source material.
The novel is described by Amazon as a “gripping thriller about a woman who becomes convinced that a sinister figure is going to great lengths to make sure her pregnancy never happens – while the men in her life refuse to believe a word she says.”
However, there are no specific details yet on their role or the story of the upcoming series, aside from Roberts playing the role of Anna.
Though the series is still produced by Murphy and Falchuk, alongside Halley Feiffer, Alexis Martin Woodall, and Scott Robertson – the upcoming season will feature Feiffer as the sole writer and showrunner for the first time in the series’ history.
The series began shooting this April in New York City, with the expected premiere this Summer, the exact date was still to be announced by Murphy and the studio.

Roberts has been in and out of the series starting in 2013 when she played the sassy witch Madison Montgomery in AHS: Coven, which she reprised in 2018’s AHS: Apocalypse; in 2014 when she played the con artist Maggie Esmeralda in AHS: Freak Show; in 2017 when she played the newscaster Serena Belinda in AHS: Cult; and in 2019 when she played the main role of Brooke Thompson in AHS: 1984.
If you’re an avid fan of AHS, you’ll know that if there is one thing about Roberts’ characters in the series, it’s that they always end up dead. Aside from AHS: 1984 where she is, well, being chased to death. Which makes us excited about what will happen to her next endeavor as Anna.
