Everyone’s favorite niche microblogging platform, Tumblr, now has a livestreaming feature, in a world now dominated by short-form video platforms like TikTok. While everyone was on Tumblr back when it was popular in the early 2010s, it’s currently just known as everyone’s “dark past..”
Well, not really. But you get the point.
Now, Tumblr isn’t just where all the fandoms known to pop culture get their beginnings on anymore. Tumblr is also now delving into the livestreaming market with their newest feature called, ‘Tumblr Live.’
This feature will be coming to the social media platform through the streaming service Live Box, and will be giving Tumblr a brand-new edge to compete with Twitter, Facebook, and eventually, TikTok.
Which well, to be honest, no one asked for. In fact, nobody really knew about it until quite recently. Swell Entertainment, a YouTube content creator known for her commentary on different things, posted her thoughts on the entire idea of ‘Tumblr Live’ on her channel titled, “no one asked for Tumblr Live.”
Her comment section was also in agreement with her thoughts, and even voiced out their own opinions on the matter.
How about you guys, our fellow tambay sa internet, What do you think of Tumblr having its own livestreaming platform, or have we had enough of anything live already?
